Educator

Andrew currently maintains an active private saxophone studio of students from Michigan, Ohio, and even Alabama. He offers lessons in person and over Zoom. Andrew’s students have received top rating as solo and ensemble, have placed principle chair at their school, performed in honor band and extracurricular bands across the state, as well as won concerto competitions at their school. Private lessons are offered on soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, clarinet, or music theory. During lessons, we will cover scales and technique, etudes, repertoire, audition music, as well as music theory and music history.  

Andrew maintains an active schedule of teaching marching band camps during the summer. He has taught band camps for Lakewood High School Ranger Marching Band (Lakewood, Ohio), Chagrin Falls High School Marching Band (Chagrin Falls, Ohio), Holt High School Ram Marching Band (Holt, Michigan), St. Henry High School Marching Band (St. Henry, Ohio), Sylvania Southview High School Marching Band (Sylvania, Ohio), and Swartz Creek High School Dragon Marching Band (Swartz Creek, Michigan). In addition, he has taught saxophone, clarinet, and music theory for Lakewood City Schools Instrument Jump Start Camp, Bowling Green State University Music Plus Program, Bowling Green State University High School Academy Band, Bowling Green State University Middle School Academy Band, as well as the Bowling Green State University High School Honor Band. 

Andrew has given saxophone lectures as a soloist and with chamber ensembles across Michigan and Ohio. He has given presentations at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Michigan), Harding Middle School (Lakewood, Ohio), Garfield Middle School (Lakewood, Ohio), Cardinal Stritch Catholic School (Toledo, Ohio), Holt High School (Holt High School), and Swartz Creek High School (Swartz Creek, Michigan).
